LML/505 differs in many ways from the other two. Outfitted as a road car with bumpers, a foldable top and removable side windows, this car also had a different dashboard layout. Bought new off the 1954 New York Auto stand by Mr. Schwambauer of Wichita, Kansas, he held it for four years and then sold it to US Air force Captain C.S. Wallen. Charles Barnett, also an Air force officer, owned the car through the 1970's. The car had a few owners after that point, one being Carlos Monteverde of the UK. It was fully restored in 2004.

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them. Congratulations on an excellent website.
