The DB4 GT was produced from 1959 through 1963 with only 75 examples being produced plus another 19 examples bodied by Zagato. The lightweight aluminium Zagato bodied cars were necessary to keep pace with Ferrari's 250 GT cars.

The final DB4 GT chassis (#0201L) was sent to Bertone shortly before Christmas, 1960. Within a few weeks, a coupe body, designed by Giorgietto Giugiaro was added.

Unusually for a DB4 GT, the Jet has a steel body, instead of aluminium, which makes it slightly heavier than the standard GT.

The car, finished in light green with contrasting grey interior, was exhibited at the 1961 Geneva Salon.

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them. Congratulations on an excellent website.
