The Ferrari 250 GT/Comp 61, s/n 2445 GT is a Ferrari with race history from 1961. This car raced all over Europe, made his debut in Spa Francorchamps and raced at Le Mans 24H race in 1962. After a crash at Le Mans 24H the body was modified by Piero Drogo. From 2010 the Drogo raced again and has been invited to the best race events of the world with outstanding performance and victories.

1961: Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione, alloy, LHD

1962/dec – Piero Drogo, Modena, IT

1963 - Rebuilt by Drogo with Drogo bodywork and engine 1965GT

1964 - Export papers repurposed to facilitate export of 2445GT to U.S. To match custom papers, the number 1965GT was crudely stamped into steering column of 2445GT (the wrong location for that series).

1964 - Sold to James Coburn, CA, USA.

1986 – Ongoing restauration, using engine 2589GT and any usable parts from 1965GT engine block.

2014: Drogo body removed, undergoing total restoration by Edi Wyss Engineering, CH and Carrozzeria Brandoli, Montale, back into original 1961 250 GT SWB Scaglietti Competition Berlinetta configuration. To be certified by the factory once completed (2016).

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them. Congratulations on an excellent website.
