Description

This 1936 Rolls Royce Phantom III (#3AX65) was ordered by André Pisart, the Belgian importer, for use as a demonstration model and for the use of his mother. He commissioned Van Den Plas in Brussels to build the Limousine body. First attempt was unsatisfactory, so the car missed the 1936 Brussels Motor Show and the Imperial Limousine de Ville with detachable luggage boot shown here is the improved result.

The car was used by Fieldmarshal Kesselring, and then by the Höhere SS and Polizeiführer in Belgium. It returned to Pisart after the war (in matt black), and then sold to the UK Ambassador of Luxembourg, Sir Geoffrey Allchin, who took the car with him into his retirement.
